Great news !
We arrived in California two days ago, and are now fighting against the jetlag effects, attempting to buy a car and finding a home.
For now we stay at a colleague’s home, Hugues and Leticia, two very friendly people.
On our arrival, we first took our brand new iMac out of the storage room a my work. It’s even bigger than I thought. We can more or less use it as a TV, a Hifi device, a music player, and at the same time it is so fast !
We bought a pair of phones today that instantly turned Cecile into a customization specialist.
Next step is to find a car, and we did some work on that today too. Here is what seems to be the nicest car we can buy with less than 3000 dollars.
By the middle of the week, we should be independent enough to find an apartment. We have a couple of them we could visit already on Tuesday night.
We have well arrived !
